Boutique hotels started in the 1980's to offer unique hotel services with local not typically offered by hotel chain francises. Their popularity lead lead to boutiaue hotel collections is not changes that lost some of the uniqueness of eqrlier boutique hotels. The concept of historical boutique was introduced to try recapture the original idea of a boutique hotel. Historical boutique hotels are often, like the LaSalle Inn, historical single-family homes lovingly restored and repurposed for travelers seeking experiential tourism in a local setting beyond any of the more usual reasons for booking a hotel hotel

The LaSalle as a boutique inn holds the promise of personal service and intriguing surroundings. Our two adjacent hortical home in the center of Fort Wayne are from 1842 and 1901. 


Complimentary Contnental Breakfast is offered to all guests, including oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and a variety of beverages like fresh coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice and milk. 

We also offer smoothies consisiting in blends of bananas, apples, pear, tangerine, apricot, a half green pepper. 

How Can We Help?

More personal service is one of the reasons guests choose smaller inns over larger hotels. While smaller inns generally do not have large staffs nor someone at a traditional front desk 24/7, your hosts will be more than happy to help at any time. You may reach a staff member by dialing zero on your room phone and otherwise using the phone to dial the inn number at 422-0851. Someone is always close by if you need help. (Note: If during current renovation, no one is at the front desk in the the main building, please use your cell phone to dial the name local number.)

The main entrance to our the lobby under the red awning at 517 West Washington Boulevard, the the mains westward thoroughfare in downtown. The front door is at times due to tempoary abense of the innkeeper elsewhere on premises. First ring before phoning. We offer have parking behind both of houses.

While the front and back doors of both houses are locked at night, guests receive a key to the house they are staying in as well as a key to their room to come and go freely. Please be sure to keep the front doors locked if you enter them locked..
